The Brauhaus on the Isar: The Legacy

The grand conclusion of the atmospheric and gripping brewery family saga set in Munich, exploring brewing art and Oktoberfest: the final months of the war and the subsequent rebuilding. Eighteen-year-old Lotte, whose parents had to flee from the Nazis, works for a Swiss aid organization at the end of 1944. After a plane crash in the border area to Germany, she makes her way to Munich. There, despite all the turmoil, her grandparents keep their brewery running. Saving the company from the war presents Lotte with the challenge she has always longed for. However, she is regarded as a half-Jew. In the midst of these last months of the war, she falls in love with the sensitive scientist Gero, who is working on a sensitive project. Ironically, the long-awaited peace brings the Brucknerbräu to the brink of disaster.
