Product details
History in Motion: The Roman-Lippe Route has been replacing the well-known Roman Route since spring 2013. This new cycling path, subtitled "History in Motion," connects water experiences and Roman culture along the longest river in North Rhine-Westphalia - the Lippe. Starting from the Hermann Monument near Detmold, cyclists can ride 295 km through the Teutoburg Forest, Sauerland, and Münsterland, as well as the Ruhr metropolis, all the way to the Lower Rhine in the Roman city of Xanten. Roman camps, lush floodplain landscapes, historically charming city centers, and numerous exciting attractions await cyclists on their journey. Additionally, thematic detours complement the main route.
