This volume offers you a collection of nine realistic role plays that will motivate your class to speak English in an engaging way and with minimal preparation effort.

The ability to communicate orally and participate freely in conversations is a central goal of English instruction. To adequately train speaking competence, students must be gradually prepared for authentic conversation situations based on their individual abilities.

The worksheets for each role play include a large image for context. This is followed by individual images of the conversation participants with possible statements and additional relevant vocabulary. These language tools for vocabulary, sentence, and dialogue structures are designed so that students can independently develop and present dialogues on thematic focuses in a short amount of time using the included role cards, while emphasizing cultural topics, age appropriateness, and playful aspects to implement a competence-oriented curriculum aligned with the core curriculum. Finally, there is an observation sheet for each role play for follow-up activities.
