Product details
Roger Boltshauser, who operates in Zurich and has had a second office in Munich since 2021, is one of the most successful and distinctive Swiss architects of our time. His precise engagement with building materials and their constructive potentials is combined in his works with a solid understanding of ecological issues. The projects by Boltshauser Architekten, spanning various scales, have won numerous awards in Germany, Austria, and Italy, including the DETAIL Award in 2022 for the Oven Tower at the Brick Museum in Cham. Boltshauser, who has been a member of the Building Council in Berlin since 2022, aims to find new forms and solutions for the architectural challenges of today. The new, elegant book "Roger Boltshauser – Response" revisits a dozen of his most important and recent buildings in a three-step format of plan – sketch – photography, including several that are published here for the first time. The atmospheric photographs by Luca Ferrario, Boltshauser's own artistic hand drawings, and the detailed sections, axonometrics, and floor plans present a multifaceted picture of this architectural oeuvre. At the same time, the book documents an exhibition of Boltshauser's work that was showcased in Berlin, Paris, and Stuttgart in 2022/23 and has more stops planned.
