He closely followed the bands and individual stars with his camera, not as a paparazzo, but as a friend and connected member of the bands. In the upcoming large book "Rockstars," the internationally renowned photographer presents for the first time the best from his vast, previously unpublished archive. Hannes Schmid's extraordinary images showcase the most successful musicians of the 1970s and early 1980s behind the scenes, offering intimate glimpses into their private lives. Schmid has portrayed the stars in a unique way through these images, shaping the representation of rock 'n' roll to this day.
