Burglar Lucius "Lou" Rinke, freshly released from prison, is planning his last big heist. Unfortunately, he has not accounted for the storm "Vincinette," which strikes the Hanseatic city with destructive force on February 17, 1962. He also has no idea that on this very night he will encounter a woman who has her own unique perspective on the enforcement of justice. Rinke recruits the young Piet as an accomplice in St. Pauli and makes final preparations for the burglary. On the evening of February 17, the two burglars meet in a pub in Wilhelmsburg, where Rinke meets Betty. The crime unfolds differently than planned. The safe that is to be cracked in the free port holds a nasty surprise. Then the storm hits. The struggle for survival against the unleashed elements begins and becomes even more complicated when the two men encounter Betty, who has her own ideas about a survival strategy.
