Gymnastics rings are becoming increasingly popular as they are the ideal training tool for long-term and joint-friendly muscle building. The instability of the rings not only strengthens the muscles but also promotes muscle coordination. Mike Gillette's book offers excellently illustrated and easy-to-follow exercises for ring training. Following an introduction to the benefits and features of gymnastics rings as a training tool, there are over 30 exercises—ranging from push-ups to squats, in both horizontal and vertical positions. Each exercise is presented in three variations, allowing for an easy start as well as an increase in difficulty.
