Rituale - Vielfalt in Alltag und Therapie

Rituals are not primarily about preserving the old, but about shaping the transition to the new. Ritual prescriptions have a strong tradition in systemic therapy. However, the way rituals work and their significance in human life has hardly been reflected upon in this context. This is the focus of the first part of this book.

Luc Ciompi bridges the gap between anthropology and counseling or therapy by elucidating the importance of rituals for channeling emotions. Following this, Evan Imber-Black, Ulrich Clement, Gunthard Weber, and Celia Falicov present their therapeutic work with rituals.

The contributions from Tom Levold, Jochen Schweitzer-Rothers, and Elisabeth Nicolai illustrate how rituals can also be effectively utilized in organizational development, especially when it comes to change within organizations.

The contributions from former Swiss President Moritz Leuenberger, sports journalist Richard B. Reich, and Beat Kappeler highlight that politics, economics, and sports are fields that would be hard to imagine without rituals.

Finally, Rosmarie Welter-Enderlin draws conclusions for the practice of counseling and therapy based on a case study.
