The automotive electromobility sector is increasingly characterized by asymmetric competition. Established automotive companies are facing innovative, unconventional visionaries. This asymmetric competition and significantly shortened product development timelines are causing traditional automotive processes to collapse. This creates risks for suppliers, developers, producers, and customers of electric vehicles. To address the changed, highly dynamic environment in electromobility, new, flexible approaches for adequate automotive project management need to be developed. Traditional automotive management tools are critically examined, omitted, nested, regrouped, and supplemented with methods from other industries. Project and risk management are merged into a generic, efficient, and flexibly applicable procedural model. Risks are identified, assessed, consolidated, and managed.
