The aim of this book is to try to make the complex and intricate matter behind the simple keyword "electrosmog" understandable to laymen without sacrificing scientific substantiation. The search for answers to the question of how electromagnetic fields affect health and the environment raises questions in the physical, medical and engineering fields; the question of how possible dangers can be contained adds the political and legal dimension. Most experts, however, are only experts in one (small) field. Therefore, it is perhaps not entirely unjustified to hope that this book will also appeal to scientists, doctors, engineers and students and encourage them to take a broadly-based approach to the problem of electrosmog.
