Tattoos are no longer just body art - they are expressions of individual personality, societal trends, and often a process of artistic creation. But what about the legal protection of these artworks? What rights do tattoo artists have, and how can the interests of tattoo bearers be reconciled with copyright law? This work explores the complex intersections between body culture and intellectual property. The author analyzes the extent to which tattoos enjoy copyright protection, what personal rights, usage rights, and exploitation rights exist for tattoo artists, and whether a tattooed person may face legal restrictions regarding the use of their own body. Additionally, practical solutions for conflicts between creators, clients, and third parties are developed, for example, through the examination of copyright exceptions.
