Training materials for teachers in primary and special schools, subjects: social learning and pedagogy, grades 1-4, but also for extracurricular children's and youth work as well as at home. More and more schools are becoming Giraffe Schools: they have discovered the principle of nonviolent communication (also known as empathetic or connecting communication, or the language of the heart). The concept by Marshall B. Rosenberg promotes a constructive coexistence characterized by respect and appreciation through what is called Giraffe Language, as a counterpoint to the angry Wolf Language. It is not difficult at all: these ready-made lesson plans, including all necessary materials and an audio CD with suitable songs, demonstrate how it works. In discussion circles and through exercises, games, role plays, and songs, children become familiar with nonviolent communication. The modular structure allows the lessons to be quickly tailored to the grade level and the needs of the children. Children learn to recognize and express their own needs, enhance their empathy skills, develop a culture of conversation, and prevent disputes and conflicts – all while getting close to the animal model of the giraffe with the big heart.
