Reset

Following Christopher Wurmdobler's successful debut "Solo," "Reset" is a humorous novel about the biggest change in the life of an aging television star who confronts her past and reinvents herself. Karmen, over 50, tough as nails and childless, hosts her own political talk show, has lucrative advertising contracts, and is a celebrated journalist. However, suddenly her television persona no longer fits the times, her advertising deal is canceled, and she botches the hosting of a gala event. In a mix of self-dismantling her public image and a desperate attempt to draw attention to herself, she breaks a lot of external and internal taboos in just a few days. Ultimately, Karmen leaves both the big city and the glittering, superficial media world behind and embarks on a journey back to her roots. She is tasked with clearing out her late father's house and finds herself in the very province of her childhood. Yet, her hometown has changed, and Karmen gradually transforms as well, more than she ever thought possible.
