Renale Amyloidose In Algerien

This book initially provides a comprehensive literature review on the history, pathogenesis, clinical aspects, anatomy, and new therapies of AA amyloidosis. The second part addresses the Algerian experiences with the epidemiology of this rare but largely unknown kidney disease in the medical community. Systemic amyloidosis is a condition that can affect all organs except the central nervous system, but it primarily targets the kidneys. Our field has allowed us to develop an interest in this disease and its various etiologies, as well as in therapies that are generally aimed at the underlying cause. In our North African country, tuberculosis is the most common cause of systemic AA amyloidosis, despite various programs in place to combat this condition, along with rheumatic diseases, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and familial Mediterranean fever. This book is dedicated to medical students: interns, residents, and assistants from all specialties.
