Competence-oriented and student-centered. "Understanding Religion" is the new teaching series for Catholic religious education in secondary schools based on the Bavarian LehrplanPLUS. The teaching material places special emphasis on helping students learn to understand faith and religion in the context of contemporary thought and experience. Religious language education. One can only understand religion if one understands religious language forms. Language competence is emphasized here as a consistent principle. Active learning. The content is oriented towards the students. They are taken seriously as subjects. This also includes a conscious emphasis on learning through biographies (model learning).
