"Religion in dialogue" means encouraging encounters. How. The new textbook for religious education follows a denominationally cooperative approach, which repeatedly seeks dialogue with other religions and world views. In this way, the diversity of the student body and the reality of religious education are optimally taken into account. "Religion in dialogue" consistently includes Protestant and Catholic perspectives in the materials and tasks. At the same time, Jewish and Muslim as well as various ideological perspectives are included. The focus is on living religion. This creates learning arrangements that invite students to enter into dialogue and exchange ideas. This allows pupils to see how different they are and where they may also have something in common. Specifically, 'Religion in Dialogue' is characterised by a variety of stimulating materials and openly formulated, application-oriented and methodically varied tasks. The book enables interlinked learning through appropriate references in tasks and materials. The aim is to enable pupils to work as independently as possible. The textbook consists of seven chapters: 1. man in search of recognition, 2. experiences with God, 3. encountering religion(s), 4. speaking prophetically, 5. encountering Jesus' message, 6. what do we need the church(es) for? 7. diversity of religions. The volume is rounded off by a methodological appendix. You can find the digital version of our textbooks on our content platform: https://www. vr-elibrary. de/schule.
