How do students approach subject-specific topics? How do the characteristics of diversity among adolescents affect their perceptions? Why and how do these perceptions change? These questions are of crucial interest in all subject-specific didactic disciplines and are systematically researched. However, research on perceptions in the domain of religion has so far been very disparate and lacks a clear theoretical framework. This volume therefore provides a comprehensive assessment of the current state of research. Fundamental questions regarding students' religious perceptions and their investigation are addressed in relation to specific research projects. This allows for a nuanced exploration of the existing research landscape and highlights various further perspectives.
