Product details

The second volume of the series "Relativistic Quantum Theory of Particles" offers an innovative perspective on quantum field theory through the introduction of relativistic quantum dynamics (RQD). In this work, the theory of quantum mechanical interactions is reinterpreted by focusing on physically 'dressed' particles. The authors modify the formulas of special relativity to account for the dependence of interactions on the Lorentz transformation. This leads to a theory in which charged particles interact through instantaneous long-range effects, without the need for renormalization. The RQD describes electromagnetic phenomena such as the Lamb shift and the Aharonov-Bohm effect, taking into account the fundamental principles of relativity and causality. Particularly noteworthy is the experimental support for the theory provided by the newly discovered superluminal propagation of the Coulomb field associated with relativistic electron beams.
