Reisezugwagen der Deutschen Reichsbahn - 2
German, Joachim Deppmeyer, 2019Product details
Volume 2 documents the standard gauge passenger cars built by the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft between 1932 and 1937. During this period, the transition from riveted to welded construction techniques took place. The book also includes a detailed listing of the car construction contracts from 1932 to 1937, including those for the railway mail cars of the Deutsche Reichspost and for the standard gauge dining and sleeping cars of MITROPA. Of particular interest are the detailed descriptions of the bogie designs. The new format of the book, first published in 1988, allows for a more generous representation of the cars. The car drawings are printed at a scale of 1:100.
