Product details
It is the fundamental question of existence: the question of the meaning of life. It moves us not only in our individual life paths but also shapes life within the social organism. It influences the answer to the pressing question of career choice, which is particularly relevant during adolescence. This is also connected to the often dramatically arising question of the meaning of work in professional life, where burnout can highlight the seriousness of this question.
Was it the right decision to choose a promising career or a "worthy" job and not to listen to the (perhaps quiet) voice of a calling? Where does a "calling" come from? Where do "innate" talents and abilities originate? Are they the result of a genetic lottery, as scientifically explained, or of a pre-birth life plan?
The question of individual life purpose is becoming increasingly pressing. Near-death experiences always have a consequence: nothing is the way it was before. The countless reports from those who have had near-death experiences about life review and light or Christ appearances pose the question: "What have you made of your life?"
In the face of death, the dying person usually does not get a second chance. Even if they realize what went wrong and what they now want to do differently or better – death seems merciless. Now it is too late. In such a situation, one hopes for a comforting answer from religions, which usually states: "eternal life" in heaven or hell.
Why should I strive if I cannot continue what I have started, whether it has succeeded or failed? Does the idea of eternal life without the notion of development not point to the meaninglessness of life as a unique episode – resulting in selfish, cynical reactions?
The redemptive answer can be found in the idea of development, in the understanding of reincarnation as a prerequisite for understanding one's own karma. Consciousness awakens.
