To realize modern control concepts, a foundation in the representation of control systems in state space and digital control is essential today. Additionally, the control engineer must also master methods for dealing with nonlinear control systems, as many industrial processes contain nonlinear elements where conventional linearization is no longer applicable. The present second volume addresses established analysis and synthesis methods selected based on didactic principles for the aforementioned problems. Thus, the book serves as a direct continuation of the methods for analyzing and synthesizing linear continuous control systems presented in Volume I. It includes an extensive collection of exercises with detailed solutions as an appendix, as well as a formula collection for calculations involving matrices and vectors.
