What can art achieve in times of crisis? It reflects, documents, and reveals longings and dreams. Annalisa Hartmann launched her literary project "deciphering noise anew" in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. It connects voices of women from Germany, Romania, Switzerland, Russia, Spain, and Turkey. Together, they have created something lasting in a time of limitation and uncertainty. The text fragments powerfully illustrate how important literature can be in difficult times – as a refuge and a source of comfort.
