Father Dr. Daniel Hörnemann was born in 1955 in Coesfeld. After entering the Benedictine Abbey of Gerleve in 1974, he studied in Salzburg and Rome, completing his doctoral studies in Würzburg and Freiburg. The theologian serves as the director of the Gerleve library, seminar leader, and pastoral caregiver. He spends his vacations as a fireman on steam locomotives of the Mid Hauts Railway in England. Andreas Knipping was born in 1952 in Munich and lives with his family in Eichenau near Munich. He works as a judge at the Munich Social Court and teaches pension law part-time. Since the 1960s, he has been photographing railways, collecting historical railway photos, and writing books on railway history.
