Räume bilden - pädagogische Perspektiven auf den Raum

The discourse on the pedagogical relevance of spaces has clearly gained in intensity over the past decades. This anthology provides an overview of current lines of discourse, also beyond subject boundaries, and presents essential approaches to the pedagogical determination of space. The volume is divided into three parts: In the first part, basic theoretical definitions of space - such as historical, anthropological, cultural and educational theory - are developed against the background of their pedagogical relevance. They provide the starting point for analysing educational science discourses. In the second part, questions about the effect and appropriation of space from different perspectives are answered. Questions about the effect of designed spaces on human perception and action are followed up here, among other things. In the third part, geographical spatial references are discussed.
