Gerda urgently needs distance from her problems and her everyday life in Salzburg, so she decides to visit her empathetic, older chat friend Karen in Galway, Ireland. However, at the given address, she finds not Karen, but a male corpse. The unsettled Gerda seeks refuge in the Bed & Breakfast run by the Irishwoman Alex, and between the two women, more than just friendship develops. But Alex's best friend Declan happens to be the investigating police officer. Soon, Gerda becomes the prime suspect in an increasingly mysterious case. After another corpse ultimately implicates Gerda, a frantic chase ensues through the beautiful landscapes of Ireland in search of the two women.
