Defining Criteria

The two editors, graduates of the Mendrisio Academy of Architecture, have asked six renowned architects and four well-known artists of the youngest generation about their fundamental motivations, orientations, and attitudes in architecture and art. The results are inspiring and profound reflections, accompanied by quotations, symbolic images, and representations of real projects from the world of architecture and art that underline and symbolize their ideas and reflections. Interviewed were the architects Kersten Geers, François Charbonnet, Go Hasegawa, Anne Holtrop, Pier Vittorio Aureli, Martino Tattara, and Junya Ishigami; and the artists Ila Bêka and Louise Lemoine.
