Quarantine

Stay home! You are alone. With respect, where should you go? Everything you like is cancelled. Everything else too. Not happening! The city is empty. Cinema forecourt too. There's dust on the popcorn machine. The Italian on the corner is no longer stirring mascarpone. Wears a mask instead. Pre-ill, someone said. You hardly ever see him without it. And I can't see you any more. That really bothers me. I'm going crazy. I would so much like to be with you. Life has been turned upside down. A tiny little virus sets new priorities unbidden, takes an established normality ad absurdum, shakes the foundations of society and even creates an entirely new vocabulary. Small fantasies and theolyrical texts breathe the atmosphere of a new, fragile everyday life in the midst of a pandemic, in which everyone is at home and yet many feel homeless.
