Product details

Mobile ad hoc network is a cooperative collection of mobile computers communicating with each other through wireless links, without any centralized administration or existing infrastructure. In this work, a probabilistic approach is used to help find the availability of future routes. The availability of a route in the future mainly depends on the availability of links between the nodes forming the route. Therefore, it is important to predict the future availability of a link that is currently available. We have introduced an analytical model for link prediction using Pareto distribution, Laplace distribution, and normal distribution. Since the exact distribution of link availability is not known, we have applied Pareto, Laplace, and normal distribution to represent epoch length interval. In addition to epoch length, other factors such as energy consumption, fading, and change in velocity are considered.
