Today, hospitals have a range of different procedures at their disposal with which they can fulfil their legal obligation to document their quality assurance. These procedures differ considerably in terms of both the criteria and the resources and costs associated with them, which raises the specific question for a hospital as to which one it should choose. This paper aims to provide an article on the question of which, if any, different priorities hospitals set in their employees' work with the various quality management procedures. To this end, some hospitals are analysed and compared with the JCIA and KTQ quality management systems in selected non-medical, non-nursing areas in order to determine the extent to which the respective procedure influences quality management.
