Qualitätskontrolle von Aspirin Tabletten 500 mg

The present work dealt with the quality control of tablets based on acetylsalicylic acid 500 mg, which are offered on the market in the city of Bukavu. The methods used included GPHF 2008, Clarke Index 1971, British Pharmacopoeia 2007, European Pharmacopoeia 2002, and USP, while also considering the theoretical concepts from courses on galenic pharmacy and drug analysis to evaluate the properties of acetylsalicylic acid, the linearity of the method used, the labels, the uniformity of mass, hardness, brittleness, fragility, and dissolution. After analyzing all samples and raw materials, it was found that all these parameters met the specific requirements. However, the mass uniformity test confirmed that no tablet from our samples deviated by more than ± 5% from the average weight, indicating that the test meets the requirements for mass uniformity according to the European Pharmacopoeia. In addition to these results, the organoleptic examination of the labels showed that the majority of acetylsalicylic acid tablets sold in Bukavu are of Asian origin (China).
