A major heist is supposed to free the mentally challenged Blaze from all his worries. He kidnaps the baby of a wealthy family. What will he do to the little one? While the whole world hunts him down to end the horror, a transformation takes place within Blaze. The ransom no longer interests him.
Young Blaze's childhood is terrible: his mother has died, and his father, a drunkard, constantly beats him and throws him down the stairs so often that the child suffers lasting damage. The slightly disabled boy ends up in a children's home, where the coming years become even more torturous. As a teenager, he commits petty crimes with his friend George until George is killed in a stabbing. But George calls out from the afterlife and whispers to Blaze to pull off a bigger heist. In order to get a lot of money, Blaze ultimately kidnaps the baby of a wealthy family. Alone with the little bundle of life, an unexpected sense of care awakens in him. The escape from the massive police presence leads to a catastrophe.
