Public & Private Enforcement im Lebensmittelrecht

In food law, mechanisms of state and private assurance of legal compliance interact in various ways. This interplay of the law enforcement regime, ultimately rooted in the division of responsibilities outlined in Article 17 of the Basic Regulation, involves a wide range of actors (from companies to organizations to authorities), takes on various forms (from private certification to state supervision), and has also given rise to new intermediary areas (for example, in the form of official public information). The present conference proceedings systematically examine related questions from different perspectives.
