Product details

Process and embodiment-focused psychology (PEP) has undergone rapid development in recent years. Initially, the focus was on demystifying tapping techniques, but gradually the unique features and advantages of so-called bifocal-multisensory methods came to the forefront. Energetic effect hypotheses have been replaced by neurobiological explanations, and the new technique is increasingly combined with psychodynamic, hypnotherapeutic, systemic, and behavioral therapeutic knowledge. At the same time, the scope of PEP has expanded to include additional areas of application in therapy, counseling, and coaching.

PEP has similarly evolved from an auxiliary technique to a complete method that demonstrates effectiveness even in complex challenges, such as trauma-related disorders, depression, in child and adolescent psychotherapy, or in medicine.

Michael Bohne has thoroughly revised tapping with PEP and describes the current state of the method here. In addition to the techniques used – Big-Five solution blockages, Cognition Congruence Test (CCT), and self-esteem training – he also addresses the therapeutic relationship as a crucial factor for the success of therapy, coaching, and counseling.
