Product details
Not all testing is the same. What DIN VDE 0100-600 is for installers of electrical systems, DIN VDE 0105-100 is for operators. But even beyond that, comprehensive and broad knowledge is required for testing electrical systems.
While Volume 2 of this title deals with the performance of initial and repeat tests of electrical systems, this first volume provides inspectors, experts, consultants, planners and operators with an overview of the planning principles for electrical systems and the requirements for testing personnel. In addition, the legal bases from the EnWG, ProdSG and ArbSchG are dealt with.
Another aspect is the handling of tests of low-voltage switchgear and controlgear combinations as well as the assignment to the Low-Voltage and Machinery Directive.
Topics include:
- Room types and installation locations,
- Dangers of electric current,
- Types of protection of equipment,
- qualifications of persons,
- the legal pyramid (European law, rules of technology and state of the art),
- standards and VDE regulations,
- the risk assessment,
- distinction between machinery and equipment,
- inventory protection and adaptation,
- the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health and the accident prevention regulations (DGUV),
- the DIN VDE-0100 series,
- protection against electric shock, thermal influences, overcurrent.
