Why we don't always have to love each other. Is peace without conflicts conceivable? Cooperation without disputes? Life is a constant interplay of selfishness and cooperation. Without black, there is no white. Without plus, there is no minus. Both must exist to give the other a reason for existence: provocation and understanding. Employee discussions are also a balancing act between short-term struggle and long-term cooperation, between humorous provocation and empathetic understanding. What is often lacking is an open, fair culture of debate without tricks, manipulation, and loud hateful comments. We should argue much more often with our children, partners, teachers, lecturers, and colleagues. We should take more responsibility for what we plan, do, and for our mistakes, instead of hiding behind hierarchical patterns.
