Projektmanagement in Architektur und Landschaftsarchitektur

This book deals with project management in the context of the practice and teaching of landscape architecture, architecture, and urban planning. The method is widely regarded as a panacea for planning chaos, communication issues, and tight budgets. However, little is known about what project management entails and how it works. Therefore, this work first provides a definition and an overview across industries. The second part focuses on specific project management in (landscape) architecture and examines demand, need, dissemination, and the benefits of the method. It identifies specific application mechanisms as well as five levels of benefit. Finally, the book addresses project management education at the university level, based on practical reports, a best-practice analysis of specific educational offerings, and the author's own teaching experiences.
