To support the professionalization in the teaching profession, a pedagogical perspective on learning and teaching in schools and universities is essential. This volume initially focuses on the relationship between theory and practice, the phenomenological approach, casuistic methods, and pedagogical action. It then examines developments in the pedagogical fields of action that are of particular interest in the current discourse on the professionalization of teachers. From ethical requirements to attempts at decolonizing the field and emphasizing spatial aspects, the discussion leads to an exploration of future challenges in teacher education.
