Product Governance nach EU MiFID II

Product governance according to MiFID II is in the context of analogous regulations in the banking, capital market and insurance sectors within the EU and at international level. Different criteria and the variety of terminologies make it difficult to efficiently access this complex matter. The author provides and discusses a general reference framework, which enables the classification of product governance regulations according to MiFID II, but also analogous regulations in the area of other regulators (EBA, EIOPA, IOSCO, IAIS), and thus facilitates the orientation and discussion of relevant issues. ln this context, it is valuable that the author presents the reference framework not only linguistically, but also graphically and explains the regulatory processes with reference to it.
