Procrastination

Procrastination - chronic excessive procrastination - is a clinically relevant work disorder, or more precisely a problem of self-control, which in psychotherapeutic practice often represents an independent mental disorder with serious consequences for the lifestyle of those affected. The new edition of the manual provides a user-oriented description of the treatment of procrastination. After a description of the disorder and the diagnosis as well as the creation of an explanatory model for the development and maintenance of the disorder, the various treatment modules are explained in detail. The practical procedure is clearly structured and is divided into different cognitive-behavioural therapeutic treatment modules, which can be combined according to the individual problem situation and the time frame, and their effectiveness is scientifically proven.
