Product details
Bossard is one of the oldest and most traditional companies in Zug. The business has its roots in the silk trading company founded by the Kolin family in Zug in the 18th century. After the Kolin family line in Zug died out, son-in-law Franz Kaspar Bossard-Kolin took over the business, before he, together with his sons, replaced silk with screws in 1831, thus developing the company "Schrauben Bossard," which is still active today. From a once small and medium-sized enterprise, it has grown into one of the largest and most important industrial companies operating worldwide, with its current presence also visible in the new ice rink, the Bossard Arena, which opened in 2010.
