Prinzipien, Strukturen und Praktiken geographischer Hochschullehre

This anthology addresses three central questions: Under what conditions do geography students study at the beginning of the 21st century? How should geographical higher education be conducted to enable students to learn sustainably? How can geography students become capable decision-makers in addressing the diverse societal challenges? To answer these questions, Part A of the anthology focuses on the principles of geographical higher education, which are a consequence of the long and eventful history of geography. Part B discusses the structural consequences of the Bologna reform as well as the current transformation processes of universities in the context of digitalization. Part C provides insights into current teaching and learning practices, offering a comprehensive overview of the range of innovative higher education in geography through examples.
