Print Art Now

In 1948, the Association for Original Graphics and thus the Edition VFO was founded in Zurich. Since then, this non-profit art institution has been committed to publishing print graphics and promoting contemporary art at affordable prices. Today, Edition VFO is the largest of the few remaining publishing houses for editions in Switzerland. This book brings together three exhibitions focused on the themes of seriality, media discourse, and uniqueness, which were presented in 2023 at the Musée Jenisch Vevey, Museo Civico Villa dei Cedri Bellinzona, and Kunsthaus Grenchen. The works included in this volume illustrate how print as an artistic medium continuously evolves and functions equally alongside painting, photography, sculpture, or video. Print Art Now also provides a current overview of print graphic production in Switzerland and highlights its relevance in contemporary art practice.
