The textbook prima.nova combines the principles of the established prima concept with insights from recent didactics and educational research, such as competence orientation and internal differentiation, as well as the requirements of current curricula and proven practical experiences in the eight-year secondary school. Compared to prima A, the revised edition of the textbook emphasizes the following points: 1. Through material rearrangements, such as the AcI in the first year of learning, and reductions at the end of the language course, prima.nova meets current educational standards and curricula. The textbook contains 45 lessons, including 44 core lessons and a multi-part supplement. Mandatory and optional content components are clearly marked. 2. The demands for consistent competence orientation in teaching are reliably and transparently implemented.
