Predigt als Bibelauslegung

The biblical expository sermon is considered a landmark of Protestantism and is firmly anchored in the worship culture of the Protestant church. The articles in this volume focus on it as an applied form of 'practical' hermeneutics oriented towards an overarching purpose and open up the discussion in both cross-disciplinary and discipline-differentiated ways. As a result, this central topic of theology is contextualised in three ways: In relation to other forms of practical biblical hermeneutics in the church and Christianity - beyond the sermon -, with reference to specialist biblical hermeneutics - beyond a practical approach to the Bible -, and finally in relation to other forms of practical hermeneutics - also beyond a reference to the Bible.
