Robert Greene, born in 1959, studied Classical Philology and Comparative Literature. He worked as an editor in New York and London before settling in Los Angeles in 1987, where he lives as a screenwriter, playwright, essayist, and translator. Hartmut Schickert (1950-2008), a Germanist and Anglicist, worked as a non-fiction editor for renowned German-language publishers and most recently lived as a freelance author and translator in Munich and Stuttgart. Together with Birgit Brandau, he authored "Hittites: The Unknown World Power" (Munich 2001) and most recently "Troy: What It Really Looked Like" (with Peter Jablonka, Munich/Zurich 2004). Birgit Brandau, born in 1951, studied Theater Studies and Education, worked as a dramaturge at various German theaters, and later as a freelance author and translator. She is the author of the Hittite novel "The Victor of Kadesh" (Munich 2001) and "Troy: A City and Its Myth" (Bergisch-Gladbach 1997). Together with Hartmut Schickert, she published "Hittites: The Unknown World Power" (Munich 2001) and most recently "Troy: What It Really Looked Like" (with Peter Jablonka, Munich/Zurich 2004).
