Polish Gliders

Gliders are the foundation of aviation as we know it today. They were the first machines that allowed humans to ascend into the third dimension. While they are now primarily used as sports equipment, they have achieved a level of perfection that captivates anyone interested in aviation. Poland has always been one of the nations that has advanced the development of gliders. Especially since World War II, Polish designers have created some of the most fascinating and successful gliders. Kazimierz Wojciech Chudzinski is an expert in Polish aviation, and his particular passion lies with gliders. In this first volume, he has compiled all the gliders designed in Poland from 1945 to 1970, detailing their history and gathering impressive, largely unpublished photographs. The highlight is the many detailed drawings of each aircraft, which also serve as valuable assistance for constructing model replicas. Alongside successful and legendary designs such as Mucha, Zefir, and Foka, lesser-known but equally interesting designs and project studies are also presented.
