The classic textbook of experimental physics by R.W. Pohl, with its clear and memorable presentation of the physical fundamentals always starting from experiments, is now available in a new, revised edition featuring a modern layout for even better clarity. A significant addition to the book is the video films that bring many illustrations to life and document typical Pohl-style demonstrations. To make them more accessible, they can now be accessed directly at the corresponding text location. The present first volume covers mechanics, acoustics (vibrations and waves), and thermodynamics.
