Dossier WeitBlick NMG: VOM KORN ZUR PASTA

The established series "Dossier 4 to 8" forms the foundation for developing competencies included in the teaching material "WeitBlick NMG." Therefore, since 2021, the series has been called "Dossier WeitBlick NMG." The proven concept remains: Practically tested learning arrangements (modules) provide development-oriented approaches to competencies from the subject area NMG (Curriculum 21), support the planning of thematic, interdisciplinary teaching sequences, and create play-learning environments for early education. These can be adapted to the teaching situation, class, and annual planning of the teacher, as well as supplemented with their own ideas.

The dossier "From Grain to Pasta" supports teachers in working with children to:

• trace the journey of pasta (raw materials, production, processing, transport);
• discuss their own consumption habits and compare them with earlier times;
• examine health, ecological, and economic aspects related to nutrition.

Language planning for the modules supports the targeted development and expansion of vocabulary (various word fields, chunks, and procedures) and the language-promoting interaction behavior of teachers.
