Liebe: Dunkler Erdteil

The third volume "Love: Dark Continent" belongs to the two poetry collections "The Time Borrowed" and "Invocation of the Great Bear," which were published during Ingeborg Bachmann's lifetime and also includes poems from her estate. Through the chronological sequence of the poems, it provides insight into the development of the great poetess: even in her youth, a unique intensity emerges that continues and intensifies throughout her entire body of work. Ingeborg Bachmann touches not only on human existential themes such as love and death, but she also succeeds in redefining them through a language of sensitivity.
