Anthony Norman Albanese, born on March 2, 1963, in Sydney, is an Australian politician of the Australian Labor Party and has been serving the Grayndler electorate in the Australian House of Representatives since March 1996. Albanese studied economics at the University of Sydney. Before his political career, he worked as a bank employee. Between 1985 and 1989, he worked for Tom Uren, who was then the Minister for Local Government and Administrative Services. After that, Albanese served as the Deputy General Secretary of the party in New South Wales until 1995. From 1995 to 1996, he worked as an advisor to Bob Carr, the Premier of the state.
